Jill Clark
Jill Clark is a Senior Marketing Communications Officer for the University of Toronto Varsity Blues and a former Varsity Blues women's hockey student-athlete. A member of the program from 2003-08, she captained the team for two seasons and earned OUA all-star honours in 2006-07 before beginning her career in university athletics communications.
With over 15 years of experience in intercollegiate sport, Jill has specialized in student-athlete storytelling, brand development, event leadership and strategic communications. She served as the Varsity Blues athletics communications coordinator from 2009-23, was the manager of intercollegiate events, marketing and communications in 2023-24 and was named senior marketing communications officer in 2024.
Beyond U of T, Jill served as president of the Canadian Sports Information Directors Association from 2020-23 and was a communications officer on Team Canada’s mission staff at the 2013 and 2019 FISU Summer Universiades. She also contributed to major multi-sport events including the TO2015 Pan American Games and the 2012 Ontario Summer Games.
A graduate of the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Physical Education & Health and a minor in English, Jill is passionate about helping young athletes navigate the transition to the next level — both in sport and in life. Her experience as a student-athlete, communicator and mentor provides valuable insight into the opportunities and challenges athletes face as they pursue collegiate and professional pathways.
